The Aces

“Ace” - (noun) a person with a high level of knowledge or skill in a field; (verb) to perform extremely well

“Aced” started out as a tune that would become the title track for Andy Leftwich’s newest project for Mountain Home Music. The word took on double meaning when a venue advertised an upcoming show under the name “The Aces”.  With decades in the music business between them, Andy Leftwich (fiddle, mandolin), Cody Kilby (guitar), Byron House (upright bass) and Matt Menefee (banjo, mandolin) are all “aces” in their craft.

Featuring instrumental music at the highest level - ranging from bluegrass, jazz, Irish, folk, gospel and classical - Andy and the Aces push the boundaries of acoustic music with elaborate and exciting arrangements of traditional and contemporary songs that display the ability of these award winning musicians.

With a polished yet improvisational energy, their live shows exhibit an instrumental conversation between friends who have played music together for many years.
